Before the Sun Reaches the Top of Trees uses soft grays, beige, and off-white with bright touches of burnt orange. The top features structured vertical and horizontal strokes, while the center blends gentle washes of color. Near the bottom, stronger orange and white areas add warmth and focus.

The thick texture, created with oil and cold wax using palette knives, cards, and fingers, gives the piece depth and movement. The mix of smooth washes and bold marks creates balance between softness and strength. This abstract work captures a quiet moment, like early sunlight just starting to reach the trees.
